salt lake city

some of the best Mexican food i have had in the US is this little place called the Red Iguana on a very industrial looking street just outside downtown.

Fodor’s write up

the mole is fantastic. there is usually quite a line unless you go off-hours. we probaly spent 45 min waiting in the middle of Feb on a relatively warm night.

for skiing in SLC, i recommend

– staying somewhere downtown.

– having dinner at the Red Iguana every night, there are 7 traditional moles so you have plenty of variety

– picking your daily ski destination based on which canyon got more snow.  personally my favorites are Alta and Snowbird in Little Cottonwood Canyon.  for more and better nightlife, apres-ski and people watching choose Park City.
